The Business & Community Promotions Board is a city-appointed group dedicated to strengthening Idaho Springs through marketing, events, and community engagement. Working alongside local businesses, organizations, and city leaders, the board helps guide initiatives that promote economic vitality, enhance the visitor experience, and keep our community thriving. From brand campaigns and event planning to collaborative projects and forward-looking strategies, the BCPB serves as the team behind Visit Idaho Springs—bringing our town’s story to life for both locals and visitors.

Encroachment Info

Each season during the Miner Street Market, the City allows local businesses to activate the public right-of-way for outdoor dining, retail, and activities. This program makes it possible to extend storefronts onto the street, creating a vibrant pedestrian space for everyone to enjoy.

For more information about guidelines, restrictions, or how to participate, please email the Director of Business and Community Promotion.

The Miner Street Market runs from early May through the end of October, filling downtown with outdoor dining, kids’ activities, extended retail, and community festivals.

Vendor Application

Are you a maker, creator, or small business owner interested in vending in Idaho Springs?

During the Miner Street Market season, we welcome non-competitive vendors to activate downtown with unique goods, local flavor, and handmade wares.

Beyond the market, there are also opportunities to vend at community events throughout the year.

If you’d like to be included on our approved vendor list, please fill out the Google Form linked below.

Once approved, you’ll be the first to know about vending opportunities and upcoming events.

Downtown Master Plan Updates

The Mobility Hub & Downtown Improvements Project is a bold, multi-element initiative designed to enhance access, circulation, and livability throughout downtown Idaho Springs. The program includes a new gateway at Exit 240, a dedicated transit hub between 13th and 14th Avenues, parking improvements, re-designed surface parking lots, a “flex-street” configuration for Miner Street that maximizes walkability and outdoor seating, and improved pedestrian links through the Idahoe Mall to the downtown core.

Supported by millions in planning and transportation grants—the project is currently in design phase

Together, these improvements make downtown Idaho Springs a year-round destination—easier parking, smoother transit, and more room to walk, dine, and connect. Want to stay involved? Join the Business & Community Promotions Board on the third Monday of each month at 2:00 PM.

Volunteer & Stewarship

The Business & Community Promotions Board is a volunteer board made up of people who care deeply about the future of Idaho Springs. Serving here is both an honor and a responsibility, one rooted in stewardship, collaboration, and the shared goal of keeping our town thriving.

We welcome community members to get involved, whether that means attending events, lending a hand, or simply staying informed. The board meets on the third Monday of each month at 2:00 PM, and those meetings are open to the public.
